Solitude

The following Images where my attempt to capture a feeling of solitude in my work. This shoot was complicated greatly by the weather but in the end came out satisfactory. These images where shot with my friends Cannon Power Shot, due to the fact that my equipment is still in the shop.

Wow. These pictures are amazing! I really like the sky on the third picture. It's very beautiful!

I really like the simple shapes and colors. My favorite is the black and white. Awesome angle and contrast of objects, tires (man made) to Tree (God made). The only thing I would have liked to seen was the contrast bumped up so we saw a more significant black in the image.

The rule of thirds really builds up the first and third image in this last project. When I look at it I think of tranquility and quiteness, but not necessarily isolation as isolation implies nothing around...because the tree is off on the right it doesn't really inforce that idea because there to be tree's right next to it that are cut out of the picture...I wonder if you took a picture of it dead center horizontally, but rule of thirds vertically that would make visually describe isolation more strongly. I would encourage you to take the picture (described above) and post them side to side to see what comments you get.

with the tire image I would love to see you pull out one color and bump up the contrast...maybe even place a piece of trash on/by the tire and pull out that color of the trash (to show man vs. nature).???
